I am just getting started on water and it makes me sick. Now I can drink Propel all day long! Is that ok? I mean it is better than no water right??

I drink propel, but please dont tell my nut or doc. They say no because it has sugar in it. So I would ask my doc. Mine says crystal light is okay even though it has 8 calories. and propel only has 10 calories. I think it is the sugar thing with my nut and doc. They dont allow anything that has sugar in the first three ingredients.

But I drink it anyway for the same reason water sits so heavey and crystal light taste so strong. That I started drinking the propel and that is what I got used too. So before you get in a rut I would ask my doc.

Propel is fine. It's actually better than water because it helps with your electrolytes. I alternate between regular bottled water, the Nestle flavored water (made with Splenda), Propel and FUZE. Just make sure you're staying hydrated.

have you tried other waters that are no calorie, like fruit 2 O or the nestle pure life waters? i do not like plain water and it sits heavy in my tummy also so i drink these waters and drink propel only occasionally. I would surely try no calorie, non carbonated water first before getting hooked on the propel.

I have not had my surgery yet,( hoping for August), but right now I drink Dasani Lemon. Not because I know I should drink more water, but because it tastes good! You can also try Nestle's flavored waters( orange is to die for) or Fruit20. All of these have less sugar than the Propel, so no guilt.

Good luck to you!

If it weren't for Propel, I don't know how I'd get my water in.  It's the only flavored water that isn't too strong, or chemically.  I'll take the 10 calories over not getting enough water.

I have tried Dasani flavored water.  To me it is better than Propel.  Besides the lemon, they also have strawberry and raspberry.  The strawberry is great!!  If I remember correctly from reading labels, Propel has more sugar than any other flavored water that I have seen.  Give Dasani a try!!

You are pre-op right?

After surgery water hurts, it hits like a ton of bricks. I could only drink water easily when it had something mixed in it, like Crystal Lite-- Propel was ok on my list, BUT far too sweet-- after surgery everything was very sweet and I couldnt drink Propel.

My sister in law who had WLS lived off Propel. Its much easier to drink than plain water.
